Honestly, pro shots just make me want to see the show live even more.

I just saw Hadestown though pro shot, and now I’m planning a trip to New York. Without the pro shot there’s no way you’d get me on a plane.

I feel like a list on this topic that doesn't include the old Sweeney Todd and Into The Woods proshots is incomplete

Newsies was the first Theatre Pro Shot, I ever saw, and it’s what really started my interest in theatre! One of my fondest memories was watching it with friends and all trying to learn the dances together :)

Newsies was my first stage musical, and it was my first proshot. It's what got me into musicals, and although I haven't seen many yet, I really liked Hamilton and ended up seeing Hadestown in theaters -- transcended experience!!

Miss Saigon has a fantastic pro shot.

I join other here in stumping for the older pro shots of more Sondheim shows like Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, and Sunday in the Park with George.
I was lucky enough to get to see Merrily We Roll Along with good friends at the Hudson starring Groff, Radcliffe, and Mendez. The performance that night was both technically phenomenal and emotionally immediate. Exactly what I want from a live theatre experience. It was a real treat to then get to share the pro shot when it came to movie theaters with another great friend.

Come From Away is my FAVORITE Pro Shot.

Suffs is by far my favorite, show changed my life and I was counting down the days till the pro shot

Also saw hadestown at the dr phillips and that cast was so good

Wait, where's Next to Normal pro shot???? 😢

They should all be pro-shot. Especially the flops: just because people aren't in the mood to pay uptown prices to see them live doesn't mean they won't watch them on a screen at a moderate price--or even on network; how big a bomb was it? It's already been proven that they don't imperil the runs of the stage shows (that used to be the rationale for not making the film version of a Broadway show until after it closed): you can see the original cast of "Hamilton" for free if you know where to look, but people are still shelling out big bucks to see it live on stage.

I'm here because I'm obsessed with the Hamilton proshot it really got me into musicals I may or may not have gotten my whole family to watch it with me lol

FALSETTOS SHOULD BE ON HERE TOO!!/j ik it’s ur favs lol

My favorite is the Passing Strange proshot!!

I got another recommendation! Holiday Inn the musical got a proshoot on BroadwayHD and it was added as a bonus disc to the 75th anniversary of the movie’s bluray release. Also for more obscure ones: Barnum is cool to see Michael Crawford before his iconic role as The Phantom of the Opera. Bonus recommendation: the 25th Anniversary proshoot of The Phantom of the Opera at Royal Albert Hall. Can’t go wrong with any and all of the Les Miserables concerts either.

Damn. I for sure thought Next to Normal was going to make it on here.

Suffs is not listed on PBS Youtube but I did enjoy Purlie Victorious when it was shown

Theatre ultimately is about the live experience which is why I think pro-shots actively encourage people to actually see the show. They're cheaper to see, and so when a show I've experienced via a soundtrack or proshot comes to town on tour, or I can afford to travel to London to see it on the West End, and I know I won't ultimately be disappointed to have to then spent the sometimes extortionate amount of money to experience it live.

Glad Merrily got some love but No Into the Woods or Company or Sunday in the Park with George or Sweeney Todd or Passion is so sad!
