The Story of Snapshots Battle Royale – Part 2

Jakus

Over the past 2.5 years, myself and some of my friends have slowly worked on creating my very own take on Fortnite Battle Royale: Snapshots Venture 2, built in UEFN. This episode will take you through the creation of Seasons 4, 5, and 6, and showcase the map changes with each major update alongside the first two narrative live events.

So, TL;DR, again – I made my own Fortnite. This is how.

Honestly, as much as I find Snashots inspiring, I feel like I never see it on Jakus’ channel. From what I remember, there was a Snapshots channel, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere, besides these videos, I never get to see the evolvement. I remember watching streams with Jakus making season 6, but I had absolutely no idea it ever launched.

No matter what people (sometimes including me) say, I have to admit, the fact that you've pulled off creating a Fortnite map at the quality of Epic's is still very impressive! Not to mention all of UEFN's issues and limits, it's still awesome to see how far these projects can go. I do wish more people were more supportive of the project, and as much as I do see their criticisms of some elements feeling a little similar to Epic's works, you did openly call it a sort of "fan fic", so with that understanding, I think it's a little more reasonable. I really hope to see more come out of this project in the coming years (and hopefully more people playing) because I genuinely think this map deserves the credit.

Also, don't think I forgot about Save the Verse. I'm still pretty curious about it...

It's kinda crazy how well you can replicate fortnite's way of adding small details and the ui style. Very excited to see what you cook up Jakus next

I think we are at a point In fortnite where we now have to rely on creators to make perfect battle Royale maps and perfect storylines. I totally dig this map and hope one day to plan to use it for my discord and make custom games out of it

Minor bugs/issues:
- Can’t Jump after awhile
- “dropping in” card stays the entire game
- 0 players playing
- small loot pool
Positives:
- good map
- beautiful scenery
- great places to hang with your friends before storm comes in.

One of the most creative projects I've seen in a while, not one of those generic battle royales in creative either.

I am soooooooooo envious of this island! I want to make a island based off of Star Wars, where all the pois are Star Wars theme! And this island is my inspiration! Keep up the good work! 😊

This is what I think UEFN should be used for. Sad to not see many playing maps like this, but still great effort.
