Finals boat handling and crew work was amazing, both teams.

It takes tremendous skill to sail the ac72 yachts, that's why they have to be written off unlike the old boats which are used for tourist cruises around auckland harbour.

That was a fantastic series for nz will never forget watching it on TV

Watching this again I’m reminded how far our little country has come, tucked away at the edge of the world mostly forgotten by everyone else. We’ve fought in 2 world wars, overcome racial integration with the indigenous population and lead the world in many respects Kia kaha NZ !!!

Yeah so hard to believe it's 30 years since then. What a great accomlishment. I was 16 years old in my 5th Form year that year at high school in Auckland. I still remember that moment. Peter Montgomery saying as Team NZ crosses the line "The America's Cup is now New Zealand's Cup".
