I get so overwhelmed while painting landscapes, there are so many details and vague shapes 😭

Wonderful.  Large works take time, but they also are where you can truly immerse yourself and stretch your capabilities.  I've just started a large work (100 cm x 70 cm) using copic markers.  The subject is complex with tricky linear perspective and lots of detail.  It took me 5 hours to do the initial drawing.  I've never had such an intense time in the studio.  It was like doing the most intense gym work out.  I literally, physically felt like I was going to vomit.  Did some colour comps yesterday, while wondering how I was going to handle the high contrast lighting and value structure.  Your video just helped me enormously to solve my problems.  Ironic because you are painting a forest path and I'm drawing a steel factory.

Thank you for sharing the beauty of Scotland overall and specifically, the way to capture the complexity of a forest scene.
