The Lineout is amongst rugby's most iconic features- The surest means of securing possession, a factor that wins games. And yet, most of us have no idea what goes on. So we sat down with one of the game's leading lineout experts, former England, Saracens & Lions lock and now-England lineout consultant George Kruis for a setpiece masterclass...

So cool to hear this straight from a world expert. As a former 2nd row myself I understood some of it, but the level of detail here is excellent.

"An inch or two can make a massive difference": Flash shot of The Hask. Is this a joke I'm not in on?

21:25 "Defensive line : 22m - Distance to opposition line : 88m". I guess rugby pitches are bigger than I thought.

I was so excited when I saw the title of this video… Squidge and Krius… I let out an involuntary yelp.

My wife just shook her head

As a Scotland supporter i can tell you how they work. You simply throw them to Richie Gray and win. If hes not on the field, you're best to let the other team have it,cause the plan requires Richie you see.

I absolutely love this sort of content!
Now, can you get Jacques Nienaber to tell you all about defense for the next video?

I am new to your channel and wow now I know why you are in the super bracket of rugby commentary. In the Boks- All Blacks game I, 🇿🇦, could not believe the line out problems. Thinking Bongi ‘how can you miss your jumper?’ All is revealed - Thank you.

That was brilliant, Squidge, extremely well edited and unexplained. Many thanks to you, George, and everyone else involved.

Great Springbok win, equally great Argentina win and now a Squidge video to serve as the cherry on the rugby cake.

This weekend has been epic.

I wold have thought the 10 calls the shape after the line out I would’ve thought the forwards sort the lineout plan and the scrum-half then decides to either keep up with the forwards or send it out to the backs. So I’m actually shocked that the ten is in charge of the entire thing. There’s also a lots of footage on Ireland. That a flattering thing for Paul O’Connell is line out work with Ireland.
