“John Smith…Olympic Gold Medalist”
John Smith TWO-TIME OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST. There. Fixed it for you documentary commentator. The man is a legend. He’s earned the praise.

Iowa style is going hard all the time and just being brutal, while OK state style is literally all finesse

This is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen on ESPN. Is there a better quality version available anywhere?

"No words to describe what Dan Gable done down there with them program"

i wish i started doing wrestling earlier...I love it.

From like 7:30 through 8:00 is all in my town. Cresco, Iowa. Home of the Crestwood Cadets....Small town with a ton of wrestling history. Proud to be a Cadet, proud to be an Iowan, proud to be an American, and damn proud to be a wrestler!

I wrestled and boxed in high school and 1 of the things that followed me for life was never let the coach out work or do more than you now I am a builder and have the same mentality but instead of coach it's boss.if you want to get that raise or next position in line whatever it is always do more and be seen doing more.more than the boss more than co-workers always more and don't cheat yourself don't brag but make sure you are seen doing more period.

Jim zalesky came to our wrestling gym with the other 2 oregon state coaches =D great guy

such a great documentary

I went to Iowa in the mid 80’s. What was mid blowing then and almost as much today is other NCAA wrestling coaches were saying it was not fair that Gable kept wining. Out of all of the sports, it is my belief that wrestling is the most fair as it’s based 100% on effort/results.

Times sure shift the narrative,it’s all Penn and no one compares

i saw shane roller in this video, its pretty cool to see a successful mixed martial artist in his roots

Following the season the 5th year Iowa senior legally changed his name to Josh Dudke.

2:31 future NC State head wrestling coach Pat Popolizio.

i didnt even recognize Shane Roller. he was my coach for a lil while

Iowa is in my top 5

I think Shane Roller was pinned.

John Smith and Chael Sanderson are probably the two smartest coaches of college wrestling.

GODAMN THIS IS GREAT AHAHHHA

Who says Iowa doesn't work on technique?  They just don't work on technique with the same intensity as they work on their other stuff.  But they know their stuff.
