I must say, the saddest part of Mandy dying was seeing Kelly read that book to Katie. :(

Seeing Ian comforting Mickey, Shane comforting Mimi, Frank putting a hand of Karen’s shoulder, Paddy standing alone with his regret... this is arguably the most compassionate and moving scene in the show’s history 😢

The Irish do mournful, heart-rending sentiment so well.

This would have been the perfect moment to end the show. Mandy Maguire was such a core character. In fact, herself, Karen and Frank are probably (IMO) the heart and soul of the show. For one to just go like that, was pretty impactful to say to least.

Nah, I think the saddest part of Mandy's death was when she was frantically running towards the door to try and open it to get to her beloved worrying dad, her outburst of "DAD" really sends a saddening tickle down my spine :[
