Welcome, brothers and sisters, to the Jungian Aion.
This Jungian piece explores why solitude is essential for a conscious relationship with the Self, rooted in Carl Jung’s psychology. We'll hear Marie-Louise von Franz on the “temple that takes centuries to build”, followed by a personal journey through dreams that shows how the psyche tries to initiate the ego into wholeness through images.
Marie-Louise von Franz illustrates this process through a detailed analysis of a flight attendant's dreams. These dreams reveal a path from weightlessness and evasion to confronting the prison of an ungrounded life, integrating the shadow by facing personal flaws instead of projecting them outwards, and finally, directly addressing the inner critic, the animus, by understanding that negative thoughts are not the whole self and need not be believed. Through faithful inner work, the ego gains weight, the soul speaks clearly, and the personal stone finds its place in the larger collective building.
If you would like companionship on the path of individuation, I invite you to join one of the small groups I hold space for or meet for a depth conversation.

Here is a poem I wrote today, after a week of getting ready to leave our beloved home, for the last 8 years, and transition to a life much more in nature.
So I will share with you from what's alive in me now, in this stage I'm in.
Transit of the Soul
I am packing all the things
that belong to my future.
I leave behind
all that is not essential.
I am packing all the habits
that serve my becoming.
I will try and leave behind
all that is not whole,
one-sided.
I am packing the projections
I have not yet withdrawn.
I devote myself
to birthing consciousness,
from the spirit of the depths.
I am on a mission
to return to wholeness,
to what was always there.
To hold both sides,
without forgetting.
I am packing all the dreams
I was gifted~
twenty notebooks,
not a single page
can be left behind.
I am packing all my shadows,
companions of substance,
I work to befriend.
Without shadow
there is no weight,
no ground.
I am spending time
with the young ones in me.
We speak in dreams,
night after night.
We bless each other,
and listen.
“You must play more.
Set your mission down.
Be with me,
with the inner and outer images,
with the inner and outer worlds.”
We go together into the forest,
out of the spirit of this time,
into the timeless space,
where souls can play
until the sun sinks
into an orange dusk.
Packing is like dying:
patterns dissolve,
first from their place,
then into their box,
then into the new.
It is the soul being carried
through transition,
through rebirth~
the archetypal rhythm
of becoming.
Time~
the moving image of Eternity.
I am packing all
that belongs
to my path~
All that the Self
still pushes me to bear
until the day comes
when I am truly unpacked
And Home.
