i think i’ve benefited from being a young man on the internet who primarily listens to rhett and link. my peers and those immediately younger than me watch streamers who just aren’t intentional or mature in the way rhett and link are. instead of watching hours of child-men i watch hours of therapized, healed, intelligent child-men. thanks.

I'm so thankful for Ear Biscuits. I put the podcasts on and find them so calming. I have horrible anxiety and they help me go to sleep. Then I have to listen again the next day😂

When I journal, and then read it back at a later date, I experience.... maybe a version of embarrassment or shame or discomfort in reading these vulnerable things, and the idea of someone else reading my private thoughts and maybe thinking or judging this unguarded, completely authentic version of myself, it's very difficult for me. So in that way I relate to what they are talking about.

1:00 Link's Carolina definitely comes through more often than Rhett's but usually they both sound pretty neutral/standard American... then they do voices... any voices, a waiter or waitress, a guy at the gas station, a mechanic checking your car etc. basically any time they aren't purposely doing a California accent the North Carolina/broad Southern shines in any random voice they do.

as someone who has dated a man, broken up with him, then become roommates with him afterwards, Im here to tell y'all that it is possible, and we are still super close friends (have been for years). and also being roommates with him has further confirmed that I never want to date him ever again

17:07 I kissed dating goodbye is SUCH a throwback!! My high school boyfriend’s mom gave it to me and him in high school when we first started dating. I never read it, but it sits on a shelf at my parents house until this day. He was homeschooled and she gave it to him as homework. What a memory!!
