Book: 'Venus Sovietica-90th Anniversary book for the Great October Revolution'- is an Art History book providing several chapters and photographs of portraiture of the women of the Soviet Union... most interestingly, of women in their 20'es during the 1920'es...

The movie: 'Death of Stalin - A Comedy of Terrors', is worth watching for yawl Cold Warriors for the subtle history lessons and the laughs- needed with the issues...

It's such a narrow and cynical perspective for Maria and the host to say that Russian women are pleased to send their men to die because they are all worthless drunks. As if the only role for a man in Russia is to be a drunk husband to a woman. There are family members who are looking still for their missing brother, father, son, husband etc.  Likely they will not find them. And that is a tragedy. Thankfully the guest challenges their perspective.

The Soviet system was rigid, its leadership outdated and inflexible, always focused on territorial expansion and military conquest.

I have a lot of respect and appreciation for CSIS, but this topic has little relevance on international affairs, and this woman is frankly daft. Also what is with the recent interview with an Indian guru? lmao

Julia stop with the feminist bollocks 😮
