2024 Subaru WRX TR review by The Straight Pipes. The WRX TR is putting down 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque from a turbo 2.4L boxer engine. At $41,895 CAD, would you take it over an older WRX?

That car has 8 more launches left until something breaks

Remember when Subaru and Mitsubishi made cool desirable cars? Those were the days

Still have my 2002 WRX. Tastesfully modified. Passing it on to my son this year. He has instructions to never ever ever sell it.

WRX owner here, can confirm. Dumped the clutch one time on a launch and car made a sound I didn't like. Haven't hard launched the car since.

It’s funny how consistently throttle house will upload the exact same review 6 hours earlier than straight pipes every time 😂

I wish this car looked better from the outside.

This WRX makes me appreciate the older generations a lot more…

I absolutely love my 23 WRX. It’s been a dream and is very reliable without modding it to the moon. So the hate on reliability is deceiving.

This engine is so much better than the VA. I owned a VA as well.

such a beautiful car imo, the black cladding is spot on, the handling of the TR is top notch. best looking rex after the original GC8

USA gets the premium sound system in TR, RS here has base audio

Still loving my 2022 WRX!

Hold down the Traction Control button to fully defeat TC. My brother has a 22 WRX Base with the Manual and it's fun to drive. It's what I used to learn manual.

Why couldn’t they have gone a few steps further and made an STI

@SeanRosairo 2 years ago

It really was the lack of a hatch that made me choose a GTI over this. I like the look of the cladding, it would be perfect for winter for all the roadsalt. the 4wd on these are no joke.

I bought a used ‘22 sport tech for my son. He’ll use it as a daily and I’ll use it for really bad weather days when I don’t want to take out my M4. He and my daughter both want to enroll in HPDE and we’ll do some autox with it. Great value cars, highly reliable and that new 2.4L responds really well to modifications. He’s been saving for a car since he was 11 and is so excited. 🙂
