I love how the narrator talks about Annie Oakley and shows a bunch of pictures of different women that look nothing alike and they all are suppose to be her.

The Law and crime seem to still be the same thing today in America

True, killer jack Slade was overall stage coach manager, wild billy Hickok once a desparado became sheriff, billy the kid was a friend of sheriff pat Garrett, and rumours have that he didn't kill him at all,but shooed him far away, and do many others especially at the frontier mining towns

In the 1800's the river through the Grand Canyon was the Grand River. The Colorado River was in Colorado. 1921 Congress renamed the Grand to Colorado.

It is said:
"Most historians land on roughly 15% to 25%, as the number of Cowboys who were Black ,post Civil War, so say 1865 to about 1900, what people tend to call the cowboy era."

0:40 Did anyone notice the gate that appears to be either stainless or galvanised steel.

Public hangings, saloons, brothels, and gun-toting women were common fixtures Back East at that time, also. It was just part of life, as were boiler explosions.

As far as face-to-face gun fights, the only recorded event took place at the town square in Springfield, Missouri, between Wild Bill Hickok and gambler Davis Tutt.
July 21,1865. Standing about 75 yards apart and facing each other sideways in dueling positions, Tutt drew his gun first. Wild Bill steadied his aim across his opposite forearm. Both paused, then fired almost simultaneously. Tutt missed while Bill's shot passed through Tut's chest. Reeling from the wound, Tutt staggered back through the nearest building before collapsing. Wild Bill was acquitted of manslaughter by a jury after a three-day trial.

Anybody notice, with the exception of the movie stills and the section on the women, almost none of these cowboys are carrying a weapon.

Horses rarely ate grain in the old west and definitely not every day. There wasn't any. There was some hay and grass that they could pasture on.

In the mid 1800s there was two brothers living in Southern Illinois who went West for the gold rush in California... After a time they came back to their farm in Illinois, they paid off their farm and died several years later.... There was talk that they had found gold... Their land was herrieted by family, many hunted for the possible gold many had thought they might have buried on their farm... I believe it was in the mid 1960s their farm was sold, and in just a few years, the young farm owner was short of cash, and he was needing a new sceptic line put in.. one evening after work he was digging for the line by hand and sees something shiny on the top of the fresh dug dirt and it is a gold coin... and many more coins were found later...

Traveling through Southern Texas, I stopped to visit Judge Roy Beam old Traven one day back in the mid 1990s.
