Gotten some comments of thoughts over whether the angle of the background of stages' should be considered or not (which I totally expected! 🙂) So here’s what’s gonna happen:
There are going to be 2 polls posted soon! One poll will be for Patrons & channel members to vote on whether or not I should consider angles of backgrounds in future videos of this series, and the other will be open to everyone, and it will be regarding a completely different, but still very important, rule! So be sure to keep an eye on my Posts/Community page for that second poll, and we’ll see what the Patrons/channel members decide for the first poll!

Came for Smash Bros, stayed for the in-depth lecture on altitude sickness

We ask if you could live on Peach's floating castle, and we get a seven-minute lecture on hypoxia. This is why Goombanna's version of these videos is always the best.

I gotta say I love the new "mask an entire educational lecture with the funny premise of what if you were in this video game?" video strategy 😂
Every stage would be great 👍 can you include another whole lecture? Seriously that was great

Analyzing Green Greens' elevation based on the fact that apples drop is genius.

"What are you watching?"
"Science documentary"
"... are you sure?"
"... no?"

I feel like “crossable but not surviveable” should be an option if you can survive long enough to cross the stage but not as long as five hours. I would put princess peach’s castle in this category since you could probably cross the stage before the bonsai bill arrives.

I believe Miis in Ultimate stand at 5'3", and we found out Goombanna is 6', so all those estimates involving height are her being generous.

It is made clear that samus had to be genetically modified to even survive brinstar

I’m sure it’s been said already, but I adore your commitment to the details and research in all your videos. It’s so educational and entertaining, and the comedic payoff of “none of that matters anyway because…” is always funny. Can’t wait for the next part!

Another fact with Melee’s Princess Peaches castle is the noise from an explosion that size, especially repeated over 5 hours would probably burst your eardrums.

Oh man this is gonna be a long series! unlike my jump. Standing broad jump barefoot in the kitchen got me 57" from where my toe was at rest to where my heel landed. Might try a running jump outside in the morning.

Came here for a Smash video, end up geting education.😂

2:23 I appreciate you clearly stating your criteria beforehand in all your videos, and I 100% agree with your reasoning here.

20:07 Just because stars are clearly visible doesn’t mean that you are in space. Because you can see auroras, it can be safely assumed that you are well within the magnetosphere of a planet. Based on the relative size of their waves, I would guess that that the stage is relatively close to the surface (within a few thousand feet). Though given the angle of the auroras, the stage could be severely tilted. Great video, by the way!!

15:48 Something to keep in mind is that in real life, that rock would be soaked. It wouldn't be a reliable foothold, plus if you tried to jump to it from the main wood platform you'd probably slip right off. Even if you did land on it well, you'd be buffeted by the top of the waterfall until you got back to the wooden platforms.

I’m now intrigued. This series must continue!!!

Long Jumps measured from tip of foot to heel
Stand: ~6 feet
Running start: ~7 feet

You should totally do a follow up video to this series on smash stages that would be the most enjoyable to hang out in the background scenery since you're forbidden from enjoying it here.

17:04 absolutely nailed that delivery 💀

2:03 Whispy Woods (the tree) has been shown in the mainline Kirby games that he is able to rotate a full 360 degrees despite being rooted, so at a realistic standpoint you wouldn’t be safe from his wind breath by going into the stage background and behind him as he could just turn around
