Cersei: "May I see that letter ser Barristan?"
Ser Barristan: "no"
Series ends

Barristan sounds so distraught when he says, “Those were the King’s words”

His biggest mistake was not bringing Gondor army with him.

Ned was only alive for like 7 episodes and he had such an impact on the whole story and everyone who watched the series

"Is your father alive?"
"No, my lord."
"What killed him?"
"Loyalty."

Ollie bring me my sword

So all these soldiers decided to ignore the king's words and preferred to serve a petulant child and his psycho mom rather than the wise and honourable Stark?

Poor Barristan ☹️ “but those were the king’s words” he sounded so sad 😭

"We stand behind you Lord Stark"  Most treacherous phrase on entire history

Littlefinger
S01: I did warn you not to trust me.
S07 : SANSA I BEG YOU

"King Robert's seal, unbroken"

just slides it right off

Ned being sweaty due to not being used to the hot is just a nice subtlety added

"I fear Renly has left the city."

Yeah just like Ned Stark should have as soon as he had the proof ffs.

When you see the former kings seal with a message, you obey it no matter what. looks like these kingsguard soldiers have no loyalty and not trained enough. same with every soldier in that room.

When you realize after season 8, everyone here is dead.

"We Stand Behind You, Lord Stark"

Technically he wasn't lying, they did stand behind him, but they chose to stab him in the back.

He probably should have just gone with Renly....

Every time I watch this I think “Cersei did not die horribly enough”

"We stand behind you Lord Stark."
Words cant express the rush of anger I felt hearing those words

“Until the heir come of age”.

So sneaky Ned wrote that instead of, “until my son come of age”, which is what I believe Robert told him to write on his deathbed.

Ned rarely made a play like that.
