Hey Michael,

I teach 6th graders and needed something to introduce minerals today. Found your video and used it in class. It was super helpful.

Thanks for sharing it freely with the rest of us.

Great explanation.
In my mineralogy class we're taught that substances don't need to be solid in order for them to be considered minerals. Mercury is liquid at a certain temperature but lower that temperature and the mercury becomes solid. Same for water which some consider a mineral and others don't.

A brief introduction to minerals? More like "A better way to instruct us so we can learn it all!" Thanks for creating this very informative series and I fully intend to watch until the end.

Mike,
You have a gift for conveying knowledge as well as reminding a senior citizen of something he learned in grade school but forgot in the intervening years. I’m planning on doing some rockhounding in retirement and found your channel while doing some background work getting ready. Thanks for your efforts.

You’ve done an awesome job with these Earth Science videos. Been pausing to review some of the topics me and my son have gone over before his next exam and found your videos. They cover everything and your presentation is refreshing. Thanks and keep it up! It’s been great practice to go over a chapter, watch your videos on the topics and have him do a short writing assignment to incorporate the lesson for review!
