Welcome back to the patio for another round of kiln‑opening chaos — the kind where the glazes shine, the surprises keep coming, and at least one mug decides it’s emotionally attached to the shelf. In this load, I’m pulling out some gorgeous fall‑inspired pieces, a few unexpected glaze reactions, and yes… the drips that mean I’ll be grinding shelves again.

Inside this firing:

Kentucky Bluegrass isn't very blue

A couple “what happened here?” moments that only pottery can deliver

The return of the shelf‑sticking mug saga

Some truly beautiful pieces that make all the mess worth it

If you love kiln unloads and the honest reality of pottery life, settle in — let’s open this kiln together.
