You had to be there to understand, what a time to be alive !

I'm amazed that they haven't released all of the Big Brother series (including the celebrity ones) on DVD, as I would love to have a complete collection!

You can't mention BB6 without mentioning Craigs creepy obsession with Anthony😂 Absolute classic

I wasn’t alive/ old enough for the early days of big brother and I’ve always been intrigued about the earlier seasons, as everyone always talks about how different it was. Great video, this deserves lots of attention!

BB6 cast was amazing Derek, Makosi, Science, Kemal, Craig, Maxwell, Roberto, Leslie, Kinga, Saskia and Mary the witch. Top notch casting👌👌👌

I genuinely LOVED the edit you gave Jade in the season 2 recap...in retrospect, she was such a sweet girl and the abuse she suffered at the time was utterly horrific!

The first UK Big Brother was unprecedented. The problem was that it could never be the same again.

I do know that Nadia got away with giving Jason an unaired slap around the chops on fight night, however I never knew that any physical punches were thrown!

I was heavily pregnant when big brother started so it helped it was live streamed to have something to watch when I couldn’t sleep x

Crazy I remember the first 3 seasons very well, and what my life was like at the time, I’d just left school and found it amazing you could watch strangers on the tv live….

I saw Pete at beautiful days last year. I had to go find some phone signal to google him because I thought he had died in the 2010s...he hasn't though, so that's nice

12:42 When I was a kid Nic used to do art at the after school club at Harper Green In Bolton. She was making a huge paper mache dinosaur & i remember her telling me: this will be my last class for a while Wayne. Me being a nosey 10 year old wouldn’t stop pestering asking why? Obviously she couldn’t tell me exactly but in the end after I’d worn her down 😅 she whispered to me “look out for me on telly” … It was years later before I ever even realised what she meant. I always remember her being so fun, quirky, really loved inspiring the kids with her projects. She was brilliant ❤

Fucking hell, how ingenious. I never once thought about how I watched multiple bits of the same shit to garner some sort of new view on it 😂

i'm an american who is newly obsessed with big brother uk, and this video was amazing! it was so interesting to see the show's cultural impact over there.

@jamesaston2031 1 year ago (edited)

Brilliant work! It's hard to describe just how culturally massive Big Brother was back in 2000 in the UK. There was literally nothing else like it. The fact it was front page news some days is insane, especially considering how they turned Nick into the biggest villain on TV. There will never be anything else like those early days of BB

@DelosFive 2 years ago

Staggering how Nick's behaviour in series one brought the UK to a standstill, and how if you compare that to the most recent seasons and behaviours.

Demonising Nick just shows how far we've come, and how ridiculous we can be.
