I recently sold my first and last Porsche (718 T 2019) came with full OPC service history and Porsche extended warranty. I used the OPC as per Porsche guidelines to maintain the warranty but used a Porsche independent for servicing in between. The differences were quite stark, the OPC was full of enthusiasm for emptying my wallet every visit, flash premises, and generally untrustworthy. I thought it was maybe a local (northern uk) thing, but reading the Porsche forums it’s a world wide thing. On using the independent (all ex OPC staff) they were full of enthusiasm for the brand, no sign of disdain for ‘not a 911’, lots of discussion and involvement in the care of my car, and on one visit I noted a constant stream of customers stopping for a chat, free fluid level checks, free advice, ie a relationship with their customers. They also strangely fixed issues where the OPC just changed parts at great expense to me. However after two years of ownership I just felt Porsche ownership(pay to play/Porsche tax) wasn’t worth the price required, but to those enthusiasts who do, I wish you well.

Had a 2015 cayman, drove it at least once a week, did nothing more than routine maintenance, sold it recently (car looked like new), had multiple offers. CA car, always garaged, really makes a difference

The owner doesn't deserve the car. Porsche (Newcastle?) should be ashamed of selling the car with odd tyres on the same axle and the owner should have spotted it and not accepted it. The fact that the owner still hadn't spotted the odd and worn tyres, and hadn't acted on all MOT advisories is inexplicable.

Today, cleaned/flushed my drain tubes on my 987.2. so simple, took 10 mins for all 6 of them. Simple design allows simple maintenance to be done, and that is why these things happen.

2017 718 boxster base, pdk. 138k miles and ive still got over two years of CPO (purchased the CPO+1 extension). Runs great and uses zero oil between 10k mile OCI. Lots of highway miles and no cold weather cold starts, thats why i feel ok doing 10k intervals.

Lots of armchair experts commenting on everything from music taste to camera work. It is easy to see you have put a lot of work into the video production which I think is top notch with good presentation,editing, camera and drone skills.

I like the content but as others have said, too slow moving, this 31 minutes could have been 10 -12 mins and still explained as much. Good luck with the next ones.

I just bought a low mileage 987.2, straight away i had to replace 4 tyres from cracking (all locking wheel nuts had been stripped), 4 new brake discs due to corrosion, all metal brake pipes and all metal coolant pipes. It also had porsche/porsche specialist service history, It makes you wonder what they check.

That car was parked outside under a tree somewhere. Or the drains would not be that plugged. I have a 2014 cayman with tires date marked from 2020 and there is no cracking. The car was dealer maintained since new and drives like new. All the rubber rot on that car indicates a harsh storage environment. Noticed a lot of rust on the under side for 10k miles. Looks like it was subjected to salt. Which is bad for rubber. I bet it was parked on coast somewhere in the UK. Under a tree but close to the ocean. The amount of surface on the steel parts on the under carriage looks like you would see on a car with 70k miles driven in the US Midwest where they put salt on the roads in the winter.

You should get meshs for the front grill to prevent rocks, leaves and bugs damaging the radiator

Two tyres on one side - someone's gone over a pothole at speed and taken out two tyres and wheels. The rest was mostly poor maintenance even if it was done by a dealer.

Ive got one and was alarmed by the title, but this has been kept outside probably under a tree in all weathers this accounts for poor tyres and gunk in the drain channels. Some rubber rings split and sensors playing up on the suspension. Mines low miles and carefully driven stored in a garage, also service intervals are two years. Im not worried.
