This one took a few weeks, so it was quite a journey. Join me as a transform some boring blue sweaters into whimsigoth jumpers inspired by the viral knits popularized by Sophie Seddon.

Disclaimer: No shame to anyone who anyone who has to buy fast fashion ou of necessity, I just wanted to show an alternative. Because I TOO cannot afford the Amano re-release of the starry cardigan.

I can tell you from experience: fabric medium WILL not bleed in the wash. I painted a pair of overalls with J-Hope’s Daydream album cover and it has stayed as vibrant and color blocked as the first day as I painted. I recommend turning our clothing inside out when you wash it though. To preserve the color

Love trift flips where the garments themselves stay intact ^^ and can easily be changed into something completely different again if one desires.

I got a plain grey oversized hoodie for Christmas, and I think I wanna try and do something like this with it!! I've always loved DIYing my clothes since I was a kid, and I never stopped doing it even when I got made fun of for it in middle school!! Thank you for helping me rediscover something I loved when I was younger, I definitely wanna get back into this <33

As someone who's done something very similar to this, I can tell if you wash it in a pillowcase it should hold up. Hang dry though!

Idk if anyone mentioned it yet, but look into “duplicate stitching” embroidery for knits! It’s embroidery but if done right looks like it’s original color work.
Also, for lighter color sweaters, as long as you do it lightly you can totally stencil and spray paint the design on. Those turned out great though!

This is a great idea, I don't know why I've never thought about doing this ! I've been wanting a mushroom or leaves sweater for a while.

They turned out so cute!!! You can heat set the paint by ironing over it for about ten seconds with a pressing cloth between your iron and the paint. That should make sure it's pretty wash resistant!

At first I didn’t see the issue with the first jumper being too long but when you cropped it it was perfect!
