I was 16, singles purchased: Yarboro and Peoples, Antmusic.. great time in my life..no money, no mobile phones, no social media/internet but happy ❤

just memories

Early 80’s music was the best !

Imagine, Rapture and Fade to grey my personal favourites.

Loved it all

Oh wow, Honey Bane-what a treat indeed!

Amazing edition of top of the pops hosted by the amazing peter Powell with lots of amazing acts including blondie with rapture and the amazing Adam and the ants with my favourite song of theirs ant music  and john lennon at number 1 with image

Crikey, I was 16, yet it seems like yesterday.

Xtc ❤

Watford FC scarf at the end. Good times.

Great ❤

This was definitely Adam and the Ants year, with the new line up featuring Marco Pirroni on guitar. 19:20 spelling Dire Straits wrong ;)

The best song surely has to be the 1st one The Look?

"Antmania", was in full-swing. What a time to be a kid. Sales of tippex would never be as high as this again !

Surely one of the greatest episodes of the show, ever, banger after banger. Such a magnificent time for music. Bit weird Legs and Co legal team not wanting them included. Not like there’s a legs and Co box set blu ray on sale compromised by them appearing in TOTP eps on YouTube, surely? Wtf is up with people these days. Anyway, thanks for loading this episode on, brilliant. 😊😊😊

This episode came out on my 15th birthday! Great memories! 🎉

I remember buying 'I am the beat' and 'rock this town' (The Stray Cats) at our local record store during this time as a 16 year old

Antmusic - yes!  What a refreshing change - I loved the Ants - also how classy is Visage Fade to Grey - it was always a favourite but gosh it's lasted.  What an episode - a week before my 16th birthday when life revolved around the last 'top twenty countdown' on Wednesday lunchtime listened to on a transistor radio at school!
