Incredible seamanship. A lot to think about. Thank you very much for this Chris - made my afternoon!

The incredible local knowledge and skill of the pilot, together with the crew who must follow his orders to the letter, is awesome. Many thanks for this really excellent high quality video!

The river plays gently to test the pilot, it looks calm but those tides run very fast.
Beautiful video

Another very enjoyable video. I never get tired of seeing the ships swinging on the tide under the expert helmsmanship of pilot and captain. Thank you for making to effort to bring it to us.

Seamanship at its best what a Pilot and skipper brilliant video. A clear demonstration of the power of the River Severn tides.

Nice on Chris the tidal range is phenomenal, live in New Zealand now here it’s about 3.5m they have no idea how lucky they are, nice video again thank you

Another great video Chris. I could watch the ships swinging in the river all day long. Could you possibly do a video on the Egremont ferry

Hi Chris, another great video, but I have to admit my eyes wander over to what else is happening in and around the port and what interesting vessels are up on the hard.

Another excellent film with highly professional dronework. Thanks for the explanations as I don't have a nautical background.

Very good pilot and captain. Excellent video of how it's done safely and slowly.

A super little video That was 1st time I have ever seen a ship being blown side ways by the tide and pushed along How these skippers and a pilot managed 2 get a vessel lined up and into a narrow lock is really remarkable seamanship Seeing this in Belfast

Thanks Chris. I know the pilots 'know their stuff' and have control of the process but I wonder what a Captain and Helmsman going into Sharpness for the first time are thinking.

Captain is in command to pilots advice so please put this right , i did 37 years at sea 28 as captain I never let a pilot bring my ship in as we as crew know her well, all ships are very different and the advice the pilot gives me is very important as regards tide run ect , good video thank you .
