In this video I explain how the starter clutch interacts with the starter motor and the rotor on the end of the crank shaft to get the engine cranking over and start it up. I also remove the rotor and starter clutch from a motorcycle engine so you can take a look at how it works.

This was helpful. Some how I had my rollers going the wrong way and this helped me to understand how the rollers and the flywheel were related.

thanks a lot for this video.
i had to replace rotor on my cagiva river, and the new magnet was slightly wider than oem, and was pressed against the starter driven gear. now i know it should be able to move freely in opposite direct so i will install magnet correctly.

My granddaughter was having trouble with her starter on her scooter it would spin but not catch the gear all the time and I've just stripped it down and thanks to your video, I found it only has 2 of those little springs and one missing. Thank you for a stripped down view.
