The Incredibles is an animated adventure superhero film directed by American Brad Bird and co-produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios. It premiered in October 2004 at the London Film Festival in the United Kingdom. The plot revolves around a family of superheroes, the Parrs, who live a suburban lifestyle due to government restrictions imposed after their feats were deemed problematic for society. During a secret mission on a remote island, Bob Parr, better known as Mr. Incredible, learns of the villain Syndrome's sinister plan to technologically equalize human capabilities with those of superheroes.
