Have you been to Siargao yet? Considered by most foreigners visiting the Phils as the best island of all the islands in the Phils, so expect more foreigners too.

went to boracay in the 1980s from manila by pig ferry. stepped of the ferry onto a bamboo raft..stayed on the beach in a hut..$3 a night. shared 2 lobsters for $6...saw thousands of fruit bats flyihng foxes ...fond memory from my 20s.

Thanks for the candid observation and honest comments about Boracay. I've been to Boracay about 10 times spread over the last 11 years or so staying in different accommodations but you're right the place is so predictable. But I enjoyed it and I don't mind coming back sometime next year. Good luck and enjoy the rest of your stay.

I consider boracay not that expensive because of so many options from accommodation, food and etc... you just need to be resourceful. For the first timers it will be expensive but on the next visit you'll know what to do to lower your expenses. And for others, you've said it's all true... all in all, it's the boracay vibes, so you have to find ways to deal with it to enjoy your vacation... Visit Siargao and Palawan (Coron and El Nido) to see the difference. it's more expensive, though. Just do your research to save money on your trips to those places...

There’s low tide in the morning vs later the day when there’s high tide, which explains the shore becomes narrower and more people come to the beach to witness the sunset. As for the hotel accommodations, if you want to save, don’t get the beach front hotels. There’s a lot of options and for like $50, you can still get a room for 2 . Food can range from $5 depending where you eat.

Thanks for a great video.♥️ What I like in Boracay is this wide spectrum of possible experiences, price range, hotels, etc that you can choose from. There are expensive hotels like Shang-ri-la but there are also very cheap ones. Food van be cheap if you eat in the inland restaurants or street vendors or you can choose 5 star restaurants. Everyone speaks english, even the pedicab drivers or children in the street. The “tout” (?) or peddlers you mentioned are indeed annoying. They already have undergone regulation by restricting them on a narrow corridor along the upper part of the beach close to the shops. Visitors can avoid them by walking close to the water where they are not supposed to go. I’ve been to Amalfi, Hawaii, Cayman, Puerta Vallarta and other great beaches in the world and I still think Boracay is something special. The people are genuinely friendly and helpful, smiling and enjoying the experience with you without pressuring me to think that I need tip or pay them anything (like in some places=Amalfi😵‍💫), though I still give a tip when I can. Thanks again. And I look forward to my next visit to Boracay next year♥️♥️♥️👏🎉

The more peaceful and less crowded vibe is definitely Station 0 and 1 ($$$). Station 2 is touristy ($$) and where you stayed Station 3, is more for locals and backpackers ($).

aside from the White beach which is the main beach of Boracay, there's also the Puka beach, bulabog, hinugtan beach and many more actually. Aside from the many water activiies such as parasailing, snorkling, helmet-snorkles, jetskiing etc. Hiking in the mountainous areas is an adventure not to miss. Immersing through the small mangrove forrest by kayaks was such an experience. There's a lot more

Goodness you’re overthinking your vacation. Just enjoy it and immerse yourselves in the moment. I think the perfect place does not exist. At least the people selling their stuff did not harass you. I’ve been shouted by locals in Indonesia, threatened in street vendors in Hong Kong, and have been called khi niew (cheapskate) in Thailand (vendor didn’t know I speak Thai). Also the weather is something that’s uncontrollable, any place that has bad weather will affect the surroundings, beaches included.
