Stone Cold was the most popular Superstar during the attitude era. Where the most eyes were on the company in the history of Wrestling. He sold more merchandise, sold more tickets, had the most viewers and put WCW out of business. He did it in a time when you had, NWO with Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Bret, Shawn, Undertaker, Triple H, Foley, Kane, Sting, Goldberg etc etc. They were all in their prime and he wiped the floor with them all. When Stone Cold was on top, it was the greatest period in Wrestling history. He had the biggest pops ever and the crowd didn’t care if he was a heel or a baby face, they cheered him regardless. So the great thing about it is, Hulk Hogan was at his best in WCW with NWO, yet Stone Cold topped him. That is why Austin is the Goat.

Steve said when the glass hit it was 100% pure adrenaline!! Nobody was more intense in the ring than Stone Cold!!!

And he still is always one of the top merch sellers. Thats so crazy

Hogan & Austin are the only locks on my Mount Rushmore , the other 2 spots always change

Literally clicked on this as I’m doing the story mode of WM2000 on the N64.

His post wrestling legacy has solidified him as THE best

The one show where scam Roberts wasn't scam Roberts

Enjoyed that

I thought Steve wrestled in ecw twice against Mikey whipwreck

He’s honestly the best type of celebrity. Doesn’t have an ego. Doesn’t need the business but doesn’t forget where he came from. Steve Austin, in the words of the man himself, is one solid ass cat!

It was the curtain call, not Montreal

Best ever

He is the Greatest of All Time.

Big part of it was alone the collapse of the 4th wall about wrestling being real… his era was the last era when there was any question about Vince being an on tv character was “real”

It really felt like Austin was legit getting into it with the head of the company. Or with Tyson… there was real legitimacy there that there simply cannot be today.

Even a few years later, as compelling as the whole McMahon family continued to be story wise, that “wait is this real?” Dynamic is impossible to have ever again at that level.

He'd say " welcome to monday nyquil, where the big boys play with eachother " 😂😂

After the Montreal Screw Job??? You mean after the Curtain Call with the Click?

Stone cold and the rock. Changed wwe for ever i remember when stone cold started off as the ring master snd when he started working with bret hart u could see the potential to be great then he went on to be the most popular wrestler ever the rest is history

WHAT??!!

The “Curtain Call” was the reason why Triple H got punished bc HBK was the champ…

The Screwjob was Nov of 97…

Nobody connected with the crowd like Austin, absolutely nobody.
