Tokyo Yakult Swallows pitcher Masanori Ishikawa has announced his retirement.
This time, Shinya Miyamoto, who played alongside Ishikawa for many years at Yakult, shares his memories of Ishikawa and the phone call they had before the retirement announcement.
Despite his small stature of 167cm, Ishikawa made his mark in the professional world, accumulating 188 wins.
