This is my main bass since 2021, with the same gorgeous finish. Beautiful instrument, never disappoints.

I still can’t believe that this week I scored that same one with the case, certificate of authenticity, not a fingerprint on it for 1k. Man it feels and plays incredibly good. I’m finding my love back for 4 strings after playing 5,6 forever.

This bass never disappoints, I've had mine since 2023 and it's one of the best decisions I've made really

I know how Anthony Pecora feels about that Yamaha he nearly got as a kid. When I was young, I had a Yamaha BB2000. It was an incredible bass that I should have kept.

I'm sure as with all Yamaha instruments this is great. Many of us Yamaha fans just want the charm of the 80s BB3000 / 5000s back :(

Once I started thinking of PJ’s as a sonic cousin to Musicman basses (because of that top end), they clicked for me.

I always wanted PJs to be a hybrid between a P and J, but it’s in different lane with both pickups on.

I absolutely love Yamaha Broad Bass guitars.

I've had a moonlight blue P34 for over a year now and it's just an incredible bass. I'm hoping to pick up another in a different finish as an alt/back up.

Simply Gorgeous 😍 💖

I love this bass so much I got the bbp34 and bbp35. Love it.

I have its ancestor, the BB2024. And man, it's my #1....

The precision pickups sound like a P bass more than an actual fender P bass. Amazing sound!

Johnathan Maron likes to play a Yamaha BB3000S quite a bit.

Gret review. You're confusing the Spector reverse P+J with this regular P+J setup though. Nothing alike.

This bass is indeed great. You should buy it from Anthony. I play it way more often than its share in the collection. The 434A is not this bass with a preamp. (Both are worth having)

Super stoked - I'll start this comment before having watched the video and finish it at the end. I see these basses popping up in stores here in Germany and I wonder about these relatively pricey basses from Yamaha. Haven't really played one myself, yet. I have a 30year old BB 5-string. Plays super well, sounded very empty (I changed the electronics, now it's a light-saber!). Everything I have played from Yamaha was always really well made, on the more affordable mid-quality price with playability super good and sound meaningless and below generic. Therefore I really wonder if, when Yamaha wants around 2000 bucks if that's comparable quality for 2-3x as much from a different brand. Or if they're just trying to put out something with a big price to see if people would buy it. Also the bass is really ugly and not in the least flashy (saying this with love for Yamaha!!). Which to me seems as a further statement that somehow Yamaha must be really confident in the quality of these basses. No special features, yet super pricey. What, only their Nathan East signature is more expensive?..
I have come to the conclusion (only from the sound in the video, therefore not really valid) -> sounds like a G&L SB2 but the G&L is a fraction of the money of the Yamaha. Or if I wanted to spend 2000+ on a reliable working-bass I would get a Maybach Motone and be done with it : )

And I know the important thing is how the individual instrument feels in your hands as you play etc. Just wanted to thank you, Empire Music, for the video. You always make great points and have a reliable, comparable sound from these instruments!

Don't forget there is a Yamaha BBP-34 and 35 bass are made in Indonesia.

The precision pickups sound like a P bass more than an actual fender P bass. Amazing sound!
