This was such a cute story. I’m a corny ass bitch who absolutely loves love. This also reminded me of my husband and I. We met my senior year and immediately became besties. We used to go on double dates with other people because we absolutely never saw each other “in that way.” Then one day, he said let’s just give it a shot and see where this goes. We both were recovering from abusive relationships and just wanted to be loved and accepted. He knew that we cared enough about each other that we would have no choice but to be our best selves or risk losing such a tight and comfortable bond. I was hesitant at first, but ultimately decided to take a leap of faith with him. Just like with you, he immediately went into boyfriend mode and I ate that shit up too. He was there for me because he wanted to be, not because he expected something from me other than a mutual effort. I was head over heels almost immediately. He told me he loved me after two weeks, and I loved him too but refused to admit it until about another two weeks later lol. Anyways, here we are 12 years later: happily married with a son and a daughter on the way. Not a day goes by that I’m not grateful we took a chance on ourselves. He’s the reason I know for a fact that true love exists, and it exists without compromise.

I’m 52 and have never experienced this kind of love. May your love continue to grow, and you adore each other more each day. What a beautiful story ❤.
