I never noticed before that the E, A and D shapes are actually the shape shape -- it's just that the G-to-B string offset changes their fret positions. Your lessons continually amaze me!

Got Lost at the scales section around 23 minutes BUT..,
This was a very nice lesson.  I watched 3x to try and ensure that I understood the information from the start point to 23 minutes segment.  It was really nice to see the usage of the triads and the shapes to move around the general chord tone structure.
It really took me 15 minutes each time with several attempts over 2 days but was worth it to understand!  it has a Pachelbel vibe.
Definitely had to subscribe after this - looking forward to seeing other lessons, thank you!

I count back 3 semitones/ frets from the Root. It's the 6th in the Major scale, and as you demonstrate, making a Major 6th or minor 6th chord. That 6th note is the relative minor chord and key. Counting backwards from the Key/Tonic note. eg., R (C) - Maj 7th (B) - 7th (Bb/A#) - 6th (A). Relative minor chord and Key. 👍.  I used to count it the other way around from the 5th.  Until I started playing around with Maj 7th and 6th chords, which I think sound beautiful.  The walk back from the Tonic from 6,  and towards the Tonic sound so 👌.  Especially in the open G Maj chord. I played for about 3 years, over 20 years ago. I finally picked up my acoustic guitar again on Christmas Eve. That's 3 months ago. I've been learning triads like in this video,  but not the low E shape part. Thank you for sharing this brilliant video with us. It's opened my eyes to even more. I've also learnt about compound 3rd diads, E and A shape. Beautiful sound. Now, I  need to practice linking them together and better, along with smoother chord changes. I'm watching this very informative video over and over. ❤️ it. Cheers mate 👍 👌
