MUST READ:
Hey there guys! There's something that i need to say now that the video is posted just to sleep properly at night:
Now that we're more than 5 million people in here, i have to face the fact that not everyone in the audience is a drummer. My job here becomes showing the world the talent of drummers that are exceptionally good but also sometimes not ¨mainstream¨
because of the kind of music that they play. In order to make them look more ¨appealing¨ to the public sometimes i need to make a short intro with a story or an anecdote that creates a spark so that non drummers keep watching and by doing so
I feel like i reduce everything too much, it almost sounds like a joke to me.
This is one of those situations. We all know Larnell got a couple viral videos playing things he never heard or he never practice but truth is, he isn't famous only for that.
Larnell is probably one of the most professional drummers in the industry and his success was long achieved and deserved before those videos even came out. In that sense, i hope people can understand that the intro is just  a little bit of storytelling to create
a better experience during the reaction.
I just wanted to clarify that!
Thank you so much for watching and for supporting with the merchandising.
You make my day guys!

Who else has watched Snarky Puppy’s Lingus a million times?

The most ridiculous thing is that El Estepario got it wrong: Larnel DID NOT just learn "What about me" with 24 hours notice. He learned the ENTIRE ALBUM WHILE ON THE FLIGHT TO RECORD IT! The man is not from our species 🐐

About time for Larnell Lewis to get some attention, he is one of the modern greatest in the jazz scene. Also everyone should listen to Snarky Puppy, they're excellent.

What I admire most about Larnell Lewis is his musicality. Everything he plays has deep pocket, creativity, fluid chops, and compositional. Fantastic drummer

The lord asked "how good do you want to be at drums"

Larnell "yes"

Larnell with this demonstrated the difference between a drummer that plays music and a musician that plays the drums. As demonstrated and as you pointed out so well, there is a world of difference between the two.

Larnell didn't just learn this song on the flight, he learned the entire set. They do several live takes of each song in front of an audience and the best cut of each makes it to the live album. The dude is a BEAST.

Mark Sheppard , AKA Crowley from Supernatural , was also a professional drummer before he became an actor, he still plays in his spare time.

Let me correct part of the story. Larnell was in Canada when he got the call from Michael League (bassist, band leader). The request was for him to fly to the Netherlands to record the live album called We like it here. Larnell learned the songs on the plane from Canada to the Netherlands.  Which makes this recording even more impressive.

i cannot say enough how awesome it is to see el estapario siberiano talking about larnell lewis like this. Two of my favs with nothing but respect for the game. this is why i love drumming.

Man! Larnell plays in such a beautiful way. Makes the drums sing and the band fly.

The way percussionist Nate Werth compliments the drumming with sneaky little accompaniments, is just out of this world. So subtle, yet so... spicy

The transition at 15:04!? My wife thought I was watching a murder documentary because I yelled out, "You sick bastard!"

"I feel like I'm giving birth. Triplets!" I don't know if you meant to make that joke, but that made me laugh out loud. Larnell is completely out of this world.

6:03 😂 "again again again!!!"  😂 love you man. It's tough to find someone else as obsessed with music, drums, and the details as I am

“Here comes the solo, breath in, we can do it… “ Breaks after 10secs 😂

"I hate when they're happy," and "he's playing with his balls."  lmao...love it...great reaction. Larnell Lewis is amazing.

Man, watching you react and commenting on Other drummers/musicians is great.

Larnell is like the Guthrie Govan of drums.
