I used to work at a used equipment/truck dealer and I remember a dodge ram that my boss bought at auction that had a pregnancy test, the morning after pill package and fake lashes in the glove compartment. We named that truck “Plan B” and used it as a yard truck for years 😂

They cut the seat belts out and use them as straps to pick up engines or anything else that’s heavy. Car seatbelts are super duper strong. Could probably lift a whole car with a couple of em

Nothing like seeing your dads old truck from Iredell county… (statesville) in an asmr video 😅

Very cool and original. Need to a video organizing one of these wrecks 🤣

This was a great video. Thanks! Junkyards both fascinate and depress me. It's like walking into an animal shelter I want to rescue all the cars and I feel sad that I can't. At the same time it's so cool to check out all the cars and wonder about the life they had in their heyday.

We once owned a business that required us to be at collision vehicle dealerships. It was a bit horrifying to see the aftermath of accidents. Massive damage to vehicles and bodily fluids inside cars and trucks. 😳

My book about junkyard, "Sky High Scrap" is about a dad and son plucking pieces from cars to attach to the one they're building. I envisioned them poking around just as you are doing here! They take a piece of a car from each decade, starting in 1915, and I created a story about that car's original owner and how the car wound up in a junkyard. Love your video!

Very evocative, back in the day we had breaker's yards like this in the UK and I have spent many an hour happily scouring the scrapped cars for spares. Sadly today the rules have changed and the cars are dismantled for parts by the scrapyard staff and are then offered for sale in a much more organised way.

My first car back in 1988 was a VW Beetle … it was as old as me (1972) and boy did I love that little car!

This is sooo cool!! I‘m 25 now and just suoer frustrated that its so expensive to not buy a car but keep a car. In Germany the amount of money you have to pay just to own a car is a joke

too loud in my workplace's break room to watch this right now but I absolutely will tonight because this is such a unique place to film an asmr video❤❤

My brother owns a scrap yard and I grew up in a mechanic family, so we had a lot of parts cars. There are definitely some interesting finds in people's old cars lol

You guys are so lucky down there. Ive never seen a truck chassis so clean up here in Canada!

@dirtroadfarm.4024 3 months ago

I was just thinking how nuts it is there is no rust in them. Here in Nova Scotia Canada rust is pretty much impossible to prevent. You can get your vehicle undercoated every year but it still rusts eventually 😭

I love junk yards too.

We had an ‘89 Acura Legend. I loved that thing. When I would get dropped off at school, I thought I was so cool getting out of it in style. And my first car was a ‘92 Corolla, I miss that one, too. So many memories!
