R.I.P Anne Kirkbride, you were such an amazing, talented actress and will never be forgotten. Dierdre's place will forever be in Weatherfield. Well done to all the cast and crew for getting through these tough scenes, you all did it beautifully and did Annie proud.
Footage: Coronation Street, ITV.

Real tears from Bill Roache when he saw Deidre's glasses. He wasn't just crying for Deidre, he was crying for Anne. Rest in peace Anne.

I saw this as not just a Deirdre storyline but a beautiful tribute to Anne.

Corrie literally will never be the same without Anne Kirkbride

Ironic for Ken, Deirdre dies miles away from him and Mike Baldwin dies in his arms.

RIP Anne Kirkbridge. Thank you for all those years playing Deidre Barlow.

Its just not the same without them all 😢 Dierdre, Emily, Norris, Blanche, Rita, Gail and soon Eileen. All gone now.

All the actors were mourning the passing of Anne Kirkbride

I was shocked when I heard of Anne Kirkbride's passing.
Of course I knew she had been unwell before, but I thought she had recovered.
She was a lovely woman, and one of Corrie's finest actors, and I've missed seeing her on TV.
A tragic loss of a decent human being.
Rest In Peace sweetheart.

Ken breaking down at the sight of Deirdre's glasses is reminiscent of when Hilda did the same over the sight of Stan's. Both scenes were excellently acted and poignant.

This is sad because the actress that played Deidre died in real life from breast cancer

Norris: she's not coming?
Rita: shut up, let Liz speak
Norris: will there still be food?
Rita: shut up!

that must have been so hard to film.

We all are only one heartbeat...one blink away from death. No matter how rich or poor, black, brown or white. Man or woman. Death will come to us all. Embrace life while we still can. Life is too short to hate.
