Look to make sure that the pump inlet marked "P" (pulse line) isn't connected wrong. There's your dinner...

Although your “5 seconds” to measure fuel flow isn’t consistent, this video did steer me in the right diagnostic direction to investigate an issue with a lawn tractor, so thanks very much! 🔧👍

A lot of times, people don't realize it's not your fuel pump. It's your vacuum line! Check the vacuum line coming from the fuel pump to the cylinder head to make sure it doesn't have cracks in it before you spend the money to buy a fuel pump

This is such a great video! As you said when you put a new fuel pump in, you move on to something else, but with hot garbage like this, a small issue becomes a week long project. Thank you for the insight !

Thanks, bro. I bought cheap ones from Amazon and fix them into my generator. But the fuel problem was the same(not enough fuel pumping to the engine). As these were brand new ones I thought the vacuum system was the problem. Check the values and did many things spending almost two days. But the problem remains the same. Finally, your video solves the prob.

Went to a 12v low psi pump went threw 5 Kawasaki original pumps all leaked in the the pulse line my mower has never ran this good relay and switch i turn off my pump and let my carb empty and haven't had a single issue with carb or pump 5 years now cost 50$ in all

Bingo ! I bought a ZT1 cub cadet. It wasnt running well because mice got up in the engine and chewed the coil wire. Previous owner said he put a new fuel pump on it . He gave me the old one (OEM Walbro).   I was experiencing problems  with the way it ran.  I watched your video,  changed  the "NEW" fuel pump CHINA JUNK, and put the old Walbro back on, and it  starts better, and runs great !  Thanks bro.

He’s right. I just went through 2 of them that the Amazon web site description said worked on my model and engine type. Got the first one, and it would not pump gas into the filter (Exact replacement for the old one. Sent it back thinking it was just bad. Got the replacement, same thing. So I reversed the lines and it pumped fuel. However barely put any gas into the filter. So, in this case , he’s right!

Thanks for the info. This is exactly what I'm dealing with. I installed a cheap pump on my 20 hp Briggs V-twin. There's no fuel going to the carb. Yet, when I pour gas into the hose to the carb and reattach the line, it runs perfectly until the gas is gone.

First thing I noted was the cracks in the vacuum line. I have always had issues with non-OEM pumps, so I always try to get the OEM pumps when I can find them.

Thank you very much. I made sure to come back here to share some knowledge. I fixed my mower yesterday by removing one of those cheap Amazon fuel pumps that come in a package deal with everything else. It was trash. I put it on and the mower would only run choked I got a good fuel pump like you said and bam problem fixed and mowers running great. Just fyi I was having problems to begin with, bought new carb put new filter and a now this good pump. Finally no more headaches. ✌🏼
