They are owned completely by a regime of cheating and lying its way through politics, government, culture, that's the norm on everything they live by. Politics and religion should never be part of our football game.

@35andyman 6 hours ago

The only way to get corruption out of the English game is to move to the Bundesliga model of 51% fan ownership.

‘It may harm your defence if you dont mention, when questioned, what you later rely on in court’

@ScorpionBowler 6 hours ago

Their defense is essentially “my brother paid the bill, it wasn’t me” when that same brother/state wealth fund happens to be the same one backing my ownership of the team. It is all the same associated pool of money.

This is what happens when we allow state ownership of our football clubs. It's not about sporting glory, they don't really care about the clubs or the fans. It's only about wider investment and cultivating influence in the First World to undermine our democracies. These people are part of the authoritarian regimes and the billionaire elites who ultimately want to control the world.

Were did all the money come from to buy the players they did in 2008? There isn't a sponsor in the world that would sponsor a club that had crap players crap attendance in the stadium, they were no way better than Liverpool, man united, arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and the likes, the city fans are hurting and trying to hold on to the premier league, even though it's a slam dunk, cheating is cheating end of.

The Premier League summed it up rather well - SHAM

They had the chance to clear their name. But they wouldn't cooperate. Instead, blocking and putting barriers in the way of the investigation. Now they want to cry victim. They deserve what they get. It's not how innocent people act.

Little did City fans know that their owners who brought them to the top would be their worst enemy but i can't say i feel bad for them except for the ones who acknowledged they cheated and never wanted this to happen

The Man City organization made great use of all that money, showing a rare degree of competence, yet we should believe they didn’t understand the rules ?!!!!!

@Bjjghhhjgg 7 hours ago

City’s owner are not used to being told No or challenged in anyway.
They are rich and powerful.

As I stated previously.
If I were being investigated, or prosecuted, I’d instruct my KC (or representative) to put the most powerful evidence and defence forward in my initial trial.

What I wouldn’t be the slightest bit happy with, is saving the nailed on evidence , the evidence that’s going to proved me innocent and exonerates me, saved for my appeal?!

Why wouldn’t your KC present the strongest evidence in the initial trail? And save it for the appeal?

This wasn’t a hurried investigation nor was it taken lightly, KC take nothing lightly.
KC are the absolute cream of the legal system, they are advocates that have proven tracks records of delivering apex defence and prosecutions.

Most Middle East dictatorships don't see things as corruption but think they can do what they want because they have money, so they think they make the rules

@ronclark9724 6 hours ago (edited)

There is no honor or remorse with thieves and cheaters whatsoever... Relegation all the way down to the National League is the minimum punishment acceptable... Even that won't remove the tarnish from the FA...

@carlmoss9054 7 hours ago

Why would companies sign up to sponsor them for massive money when they can't afford it and have to keep getting funding from elsewhere to cover the payments?

@JohnSmith-d6q8n 6 hours ago

In the CAS appeal before Man City argued that it was the airline and NOT the govt who sponsored them Also Ethihad stated to the Us fiance investigation and that sponsorship came from them directly and NOT from teh govt. Having said that I assumed this will all go away because of the vast investment ABU Dabi holds in teh UK

@rickmason8159 6 hours ago

In the European case against city Etihad said all monies came from them not the country apparently 😂😂

@tacourf1 7 hours ago (edited)

I personally feel like it is them trying to buy more time to put pressure on the UK gov in order to get them out of it.

So they have ordered it in terms of strength of argument it seems.

1 being the strongest argument right down to "oh sir I didn't mean to steal your wallet, it landed open in my hand with the money falling into my pocket over 10 years"

The first argument they actively argued against themselves when they were under investigation from the US and Uefa.

The evidence can't be added to the appeal because it isn't a new trial.

It feels like they have been caught in their own net

The Govt and ADUG are one and the same, who makes the decision that the govt should give Etihad (also govt owned) more money to invest in City? The owner of the ADUG is the deputy prime minister in the govt and incharge of foreign investments.
