In our YouTube garden there’s a path that's not in keeping with the look of the garden so I have a plan to replace it.
First I show you how to choose the right type of path paving. In our case a herringbone pattern is perfect for this style of garden but we’re using modern bricks for the job. My landscaping team then step in to complete the task. The end result is a work of art - a path that not only looks in keeping with the garden but is now safe and smooth!

I am currently in the process of laying a reclaimed basalt cobblestone path, fully DIY, a roughly 20 metre long section, and it's already quite expensive with the materials alone.
I'm not even bothering with the multiple layers of bedding and mortaring up like they do here. Though cobblestone is more permissive and actually has more charm with its imperfections and not being all strictly level and uniform. I do recommend cobblestone as a potentially more approachable alternative.
