Ohh you don't know how much relief you gave me watching it video. Am about to start interpretation and I was confused with note taking.
Any other advice

Thank you so much for sharing your notes, you're so generous! Also thanks for telling us your exp, it motivates me to keep   practicing❤

I love this, it looks so similar to the symbols I came up with myself. I’m a medical interpreter for outpatient appointments, and I’ve noticed that some providers and even patients sometimes seem uncomfortable (even though they don’t say anything) when I start writing. Has anyone else experienced that? I’ve mostly stopped doing it during in-person sessions, but  occasionally for telehealth.

Hi there!! I want to really learn how to be a really good consecutive note-taker! I have 8 months to practice as much as i can before I decide to go for it (its a goal im giving myself) but I am so scared that I may not have a certain symbol for a word that is being used on the spot... what od you do there? Do we really create this "note taking language" ourselves? Like this is learning a new language- wouldnt you say? Any more tips or tricks when ti comes to this, is it just really practice and time? I think I will start like volunteering at places so that I don't have as much pressure and maybe go to schools to interpret (low pressure situations) but medical and court interpreting give me anxiety. My memory isn't the greatest so i am scared haha

Hello!! Did you need to go to school to develop your note taking skills?? I hope not 🥹 I want to learn this on my own❤️

Great. Thank you
