M69 doesnt have one and I think its a missed opportunity 😂

I think it’s absolutely disgusting. Please provide full addresses so that I can visit them and complain.

Well I wish I'd seen this before I was fruitlessly taken up the A55.

Imagine driving up the A1, chuckling to yourself seeing a car in front indicate for the sex shop, and then realising ‘Wait, is that Jon from Auto Shenanigans?’… and then seeing him in another one on the way back home!

In Europe there a bit more main stream, I was stood outside the tiniest shop entrance having a smoke, and saw a couple of pensioners walk out, I thought to myself "seriously" so investigated. That shop entrance was like the Tardis, the place was bigger than our towns ASDA and had three floors. I came to the assumption the couple had wandered in as Teenagers, and spent the next 50 years finding their way out.

Giving 'Pulling off on the main road' a completely new meaning 😮

It's a sad indictment of how long I've been watching this channel when the first thing I noticed was "those slip roads are far too short, older designs no doubt..."

Newark, about halfway on the A1, is an anagram of WANKER.

Possibly this is a factor?

There's a funny story about the Happy Lovers store. When it was built, a "Savile Brick" was incoprorated. This was one of 100 bricks that were auctioned to raise money for the Stoke Mandeville Spinal Unit and carried the year, 1982,  and the Prince of Wales official crest. This was one of several schemes Savile used to raise money.

A local councillor from nearby Sandy, Ken Lynch, got wind off this around the same time Savile's crimes were being investigated. He started making a nuisance of himself (something he was known for) and appeared in newspapers and local radio. He ranted on about how disgraceful a seedy sex shop shop should contain a brick associated with such a great man and demanded it be removed.

Lynch's timing couldn't have been worse because within a couple of months Savile's crimes were confirmed. He went very quiet after that but there were some articles about he was claiming he was a victim because of the criticism he received. Ultimately, the brick was removed because the owner's didn't want evidence of a filthy old pervert in their perfectly legitimate business.

The A1(M) was voted "Btitain's Sexiest Road" by Razzle Magazine three years running.

They just need to install a bank of EV fast chargers and their footfall would increase massively as ‘Dave the sales rep’ drops in for a recharge and rest.

“Drive safe mum” 😮

Gives a new meaning to the Happy Eater chain.

7:05 The QR Code in the video still works.... So I'm told by a friend

Yesterday I recommended your channel to my dad. Of course this would be this weeks upload.

Jon's expenses claim for this episode should be interesting.

I'm after a new strimmer. That Rotary Thrustmaster 3000 sounds like just the job.

The cut and thrust of investigative journalism.

spent the first few minutes thinking this was an April Fools prank before noticing it was posted 3 days ago

Never see these on the Portilio great railway journeys when he visits nearby places of interest
