Heads up: Portugal may look dreamy from a distance, but accommodation prices are out of control. With average local wages at just €900/month, typical hotel rates easily exceed €300 a night. Unless you want to stay in noisy, mixed 10-bed hostel dorms, and its so commen what a crazy place !!what an dangerous idea !!!!!!!!!! be prepared for severe sticker shock. Hotel is far far more expensive than Londen,dont buy a ticket then find out the hotel price will shock you

For your information, Harry Potter was written by J. K. Rowling, who lived in Porto, and it was exactly on the stairs and in the Lello bookstore that she drew inspiration to create the staircase and the atmosphere you can see in the movie.

Great video. We travelled from Liverpool and spent New Year’s Eve in Porto and only just got back home on Sunday. We visited most of the same places you went to. We loved the place and it was our first time in Portugal. We will be visiting again when the weather is warmer. The food, the people and our apartment overlooking the city and river were all first class. Thank you. Porto.

Very interesting video guys didn't know alot about porto but learnt alot about it and some of the places you visited had such nice architecture and also didn't know that the guy that built the Eiffel tower lived in Porto either so thanks for another very interesting video

My background is Portuguese. My wife and I have been to Porto many times. For us it never gets old. You really can't pick a bad restaurant. We love the food. A wonderful pace of life.
A cruise on the Douro River, wine country etc. etc. It says it all for us. You guys have hit all the right notes. Love this video, watched it twice. Great video ! Well Done !👍👍

We've just comne back from a week in Porto. As an alternative to the minibus, we'd recommend the train ride up the Douro Vally. It's 3 hours-plus to the end of the line at Pocinho, but you can cut the journey short at Pinhao or Regua if you want to do some exploring. The train isn't air conditioned but the windows open so you'll get a breeze, and the scenery is just stunning!

Plus, if you start your journey at Sao Bento station in the City Centre it's an architectural wonder, one of the most beutiful stations in the world.

We are just back from Porto where we 90% copied your video. In fact your video inspired us to book the trip! It's a really nice place with plenty to see and do and of course great food. If you go, then I recommend the one day wine tour, it's a great experience especially if you get Jonny as your guide!
