That was possibly the "best technology" back in 1970.

“Powered by advanced AI”.

More like powered by double A’s”

😂

Its hilarious because I had literally the EXACT same little battery powered toy dog ... back in the mid 80's.  Those dogs are almost 40 years old

Sad when the social media has become a place for false advertisement and scams.  Even youtube

That AI-generated dog showing USB charging from a hand is the stuff of nightmares.

These "dogs" are everywhere at fairs/markets being sold by street vendors and they always have atleast 2 or 3 "dogs" walking around yapping on a carpet to draw customers.

I believe we are gonna need a class action lawsuit against YouTube for forcing users to watch ads on the platform, not removing any ads that are inappropriate, their AdBlock detections, COPPA, cringe stuff on YouTube Kids, etc.

YouTube and TikTok should be held legally responsible for the crap that's sold through them. I'm tempted to sue them for misrepresentation, in that the toy dog is NOTHING like the one in the ad. And if I won, it would be a case of wuff justice 🐶

This is like the modern day version of those comic book ads that promised stuff like x-ray vision glasses and such.

These scammers have the skills to run a legit business but they're too greedy 😢

Edit: I was kind of wrong, YouTube HAS been taking these ads down, but since they were uploaded under so many different people and names, it seemed they were being promoted more often than other ads and not being dealt with.

However, the fact this is even possible, is a major flaw with thee system.

Original Comment:
The fact I reported these ads around 37 times, most times noting every detail on how they were clearly scams for products that did not exist and how the site was using blatent scam practices, and YouTube did nothing about it, when I know many others were also reporting it as a scam, is insane.

They even used AI to write you that letter

9:35  "And I would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for you meddling kids!"

We call these the "Yip Yip Dogs" where I'm from. They are in almost EVERY mall here in Maryland. Glad your kids liked them hahaha

Basically, don’t buy anything advertised on social media.  Social media companies have no boundaries on you getting scammed. Just as long as they get paid.

Mine didn't even had a box, it was in a plastic bag

I had a dog like this in the 90s. It did the same stuff, but it would also do a back-flip every few seconds. I bought it at a rummage sale

That picture of the "factory" was a dead givaway.  That was either video of an Amazon shipping center, or an airport luggage sorter.    And you should have asked them exactly where the "AI" is in those toy dogs because there's NOT a computer in either of them.

YouTube loved to promote this scam so much.

I think every time I reported it, I got more sarcastic with every report.
So much so, that my last one had a parody of the Christmas music that was playing in the ad, with lyrics consisting of how YouTube loves to scam people.

I got one of these for my kitten 25 years ago. She ignored it but when i woke up the next day bits of it were scattered all over the house 😂
