In Bruges is a 2008 black comedy-drama crime thriller film directed and written by Martin McDonagh in his feature-length debut and starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson as two London-based Irish hitmen in hiding, with Ralph Fiennes as their boss. The film is set and was filmed in Bruges, Belgium

Please forgive the extremely censored editing. Youtube apparently hates this movie and was doing whatever it could to age gate it. ultimately youtube won so idk. enjoy one of my all time favorite movies with Arianna though :)

Possibly one of the best written movies of all time. The performances are stellar and the backdrop of Bruges is like a fairy tale ;)

Ken's death always breaks my heart. You can do terrible things and still be a good person. That was Ken.

I have always felt like Ray saying “I really, really hoped I wouldn’t die” ~~after his suicidal mindset the whole film~~ made it a happy ending. One of my favorite films.

Colin's best work. I'm so happy that new movie is making this one more popular. It bombed in theaters. These two have the best dynamics.

I'm a Canadian who lived in The Netherlands for many years and noticed how Belgium was often made fun of (country & people) by some of the Dutch. Whatever their issue was/is, I thought Belgium was unique & beautiful.
In Bruges is one of my favourite films!

I always figured their time in Bruges is meant to be purgatory. weird in-between period for the two assassins to reflect on their actions.

What a film event by first timer Martin McDonghaue. Glad to see him getting recognition for The Banshees of Inisherin .

Harry says "I am suicidal, you are suicidal, everybody is fucking suicidal." Foreshadowing the fate of both of them.

Arianna: "This is very much a gentleman's y'know exchange. Besides y'know calling the kids the c-word."
Ray: "CANADIANS"

'In Bruges' is an absolutely excellent movie, both cinematic as the story line. It's very believable, and the music makes the mood real...., and the acting is great.
I've been to Bruges, and they really do the town justice as well.

Easily one of my favorite movies in recent years. The writing and acting was phenomenal.

Love this film and its echo in time through this reaction.
Arianna's response of, "Why Belgium?" makes the mundanity of it all even funnier.

There's a deleted scene that takes places in the 70s where Ken's black wife is killed by an off duty cop (she was a prostitue) and Harry walks into the police station with a sword and decapitates him. Thats why Ken owes him and is in debt to him
