I loved that you had a little mistake. I think the best thing I learned was don’t stop on the carving. I used to trash it and start over. Learning to keep going for the practice or learning to fix it is valuable.

Today is my third day carving, this was my third project. I messed up the face by doing the neck line before considering the chin, so he looks real weird, and the nose didn't come out great. But it turned out better than I expected. I expected unusable and got "eeh. alright it could be worse!" And since it's a zombie, the crookedness/ugliness kinda makes sense. This was easy to follow and well explained. Found your channel with the  awesome fantasy stuff, and came looking for something simpler first. Someday I'll get to the dwarves.

Cool carve man.  I’ll have to try a couple for Halloween.  I had Allen trick out a couple of the same RR knives too. He’s amazing at both sharpening and reimagining the blade configurations.  Some of my favorite knives to use (always in my truck carving kit) when away from my bench.
