Omggggg unbelievable!! This has to be one of the first realistic insect artdolls ever! No one could've pulled this off better than you, Jess! Scorpio is gonna look AMAZING when you end up working on him! I'm patient enough for that taurus too!

Beautiful, my favorite mantis. You should do the devil's mantis and have the arms able to articulate up to the threat pose

I absolutely LOVE THIS! As someone who is an avid entomophile I love the detail you gave the mantis' pinchers. I'd love to see you do other insects dolls.

That came out so adorable! Making praying mantis species looks a lot like fun to work with, i want to try making one, one day. Oh i think you should try making Rosy Maple Moth, these moths colors came in pink and yellow, they're really cute! I have wanted to try making the Rosy Maple Moth plush one day too.

This is absolutely gorgeous!!!

I'll always recommend using fabric medium to acrylics when you need to paint on textiles, but when it comes to bugs and the like, it's not like there's fur that needs to be preserved so the chunky paint shouldn't even be a problem.

What a cool piece! I really love your attention to the details of actual insect anatomy while still making an interesting stylized doll. Her little feet and her facial sutures and palps are soo cute and perfect!! Working on a Malaysian shield mantis stopmo puppet rn and I'm def inspired to make an orchid mantis next. Just found your account and I'm so excited to see your other projects :)

nice mantis! great work as always, Jess) i love orchid mantises so much, they`re gorgeous creatures! i`ve also made an orchid mantis but in fantasy style. he was literally ORCHID mantis with orchids on back and on head, with orchid petals etc. MORE MORE ORCHIDS))
