I used to come to these races to support my dad, NAMBA209 Ron DeLozier. I wrote the following tribute for him on 9/4/2026 to honor him on the 17th anniversary of his passing. I will have to wait for my terminally ill body to give me a burst of strength to get the vocals recorded; but, I thought I would share this for anyone who remembers him.

Great video Thanks so much for sharing.

Not that matters but the Wichita River festival is week long party with many events.  RC Boat racing is one such an event.  It’s held at small pond just outside my neighborhood and I always drop by to watch the action.  If there’s a sport with a motor attached I love it.

Love  the pic walk

Brings back memories from the early 90’s, we used to run these, glad to see nitro boats still are around, electrics have taken over.

Nice video Peter!! Great work bud! 🏁🏁🏁

Love the Nitro, but I lived there in the 1980's and saw the sail boats, and loved them, too. Took my RC sailplane to Torrey Pines and flew with the Torrey Pines Gulls in 1981, great guys.

I've never really did the boat seen but those babies are rockets they're beautiful more then sweet!!!!

I am amazed you can do this in commiefornia

In your thumbnail you can show a picture of a outrigger with the word Challenger on the sponsor. Who makes that boat? How do I get in touch with them

What are  speeds of different Boats.

Is this every weekend? I run this pond all the time but have never seen a race, looks like it would be cool to check out.

Is that the mission Bay model yacht pond in San Diego?
