In the world of equestrian sport, Michael Barisone, has been called a legend. At the pinnacle of his career, his training guided multiple horses and dressage riders to Olympic medals, competing himself at the 2008 Games in Beijing.

What could take a man from such success and stature, in only a few short years, to the role of defendant in New Jersey courtroom, standing trial for two counts of attempted murder?

The defense lawyer had an uphill battle on his hands once the judge refused to allow both Lauren's criminal past and her social media posts against Michael to be heard by the jury. Kudos to the whole defense team!

She says she feared for their lives, yet when he tried to evict her, she wouldn't leave. She's a lying POS, if you ask me.

This is a cautionary tale about how everyone should do a background check before allowing anyone to live on their property. It’s hard to get someone off your property once they’re living there.

If Lauren truly feared for her safety, she should have just left the premises. It's not as if she didn't have the means or opportunity to do so. No, she had to continue making Michael's life a complete misery. What she did to this decent man who had accomplished so much in HIS life, is unforgivable. My thoughts & prayers are with Michael & his family. Wishing him a full recovery!!

A big thanks to the Juries who found Michael not guilty. That woman was used to getting away with everything in her life. She was a bully

This story breaks my heart. This poor man was tortured by two psychopaths and I thank God the jury saw the truth.

I have absolutely no sympathy or pity for Lauren. I do feel very sorry for this man who’s been pushed to the limit. I sincerely hope he recovers.

I feel so terribly sorry for anyone who has ever been forced to interact with Lauren Kanarek.

She’s shady as hell. I don’t believe a word she said, and Lauren and her boyfriend should be in jail. I hope Michael can recover from this a lead a happy life.

Wow...Lauren & her boyfriend are every trainer and landlord's worst nightmare. I cannot imagine what all Michael was subjected to in order for him & his girlfriend to move out of his own home AND for them to send his girlfriend's child somewhere else to stay because they were worried for that kid's safety. I'm so glad the jury saw right through Lauren & her boyfriend.

Lauren gives me the creeps. She seems like the embodiment of every evil female stereotype in one package.

I hope Michael can recover mentally and emotionally from this ordeal. 🙏🏻

That chick was a piece of work! A beautiful case where the Justice system worked.

She was playing the "Petite ,oh so fragile, indefensive" woman for way too long, when she was the real bully and abuser. It's incredible how this evil worm ruined the career, life and reputation of this man. Hope he would get his life back and that this woman learned her lesson, but I doubt it! Psychopaths will do what psychopaths do until they die...

I was afraid to watch and read the comments, but im so relieved the case was delivered so fairly, and that the viewers see it the way us horsey people saw it. She was a bully and a harasser, and the jury got it right. I rode with Michael years ago, on my pony sized Morgan (I do not have the same kinds of funds for my horse habit as lauren... LOL) We were chosen for a demo rider at the equine affaire. He was so kind, patient, and funny as hell. I hope he gets his life back and heals.

After seeing Lauren's face & body language while she was testifying, I was convinced that Michael should be acquitted.

The not guilty verdict shows that justice can prevail. Wishing him healing and a wonderful life ❤

What a horrible woman. She literally drove Michael crazy. It's unbelievable how everything that incriminated her was excluded from the trial when it had everything ro do with her character.

That poor man, you can hear the desperation in his voice on the phone call to the police 😔 Lauren sounds like a vile little human, no sympathy for her 😤 Oh my god, seeing Michael in court, heartbreaking 😩💔

my heart goes out to Michael. His life was ruined by some entitled ungrateful people. Karen or Lauren whatever it is, she should be punished for all the things he did to this man. i hope he recovers.
