Ye-sol's biological parents were selfish, bullies and immature, but she grew up so clever and intelligent and empathetic, like do-yeong. This shows that your blood doesn't decide your personality but your upbringing does.

He chose a girl alright...his daughter. That's who needs him the most. Yeon-jin truly had no idea the type of man she had but didn't appreciate.

I would like to add his manners as well.
1. He leaves his shoes at the door step in dong euns place (key point)
2. The way he tells his lawyers to be careful while driving since its snowing
3. The way he holds his anger even when he finds out the darkest worst secrets of his wife
4. He never raises his voice against his daughter and the scene where he asks to speak slowly without crying about jaejun hitting ye sol's teacher touched my heart
5. The way he talks to his employees shows his nature
He is not a completely good man but he sticks to his principles

The fact that he still accepted Ye-sol as his daughter despite knowing that she’s not his proves how much of a good man and father he really is

When he said “if I’m choosing sides, I choose Ye Sol” it stuck with me

Can we all agree that we wanted to hug Ye-Sol and Do-Yeong? 😢 Especially when she was crying.

I do love that its clear he comes from an upper class but he's still as kind as he can be despite privilege. Its a wonderful balance to the show in contrast with the other rich characters that are spoiled. He doesn't have the same struggles as other people but still has great morals. Just makes you against the antagonists more because it isn't money that makes you hate them, but their personality and choices as characters

Blood doesn't always make you family. He raised her, she is his baby! 💖

It was kinda sad to see ye sol standing there alone looking sad af. But at the end, she's obviously happy Do Yeong still sees himself as her father.

Poor Do-yeong. He loved his wife only to find she cheated him for a long time. He loved his daughter Ye-sol, only to learn he was not the biological father. But he stick to his principles. He contain his anger after learning his wife's darkest secrets, beat the crap out of the man who is not just his wife's lover but also the actual father of Ye-sol and finally, after learning that his wife turns out to be a bully and a murderer, he divorced her and gain custody of his daughter. That's a real Chad Dad right there.

He is really one of the best dad from kdrama

My step dad raised me like his own. For me he was my real father. He did what my sperm donor never wanted to. I feel very privileged to have my amazing father in my life who loved me, protected me, and took care of me just like Ye-sol.

“You wanna argue so let’s argue” was the best clap back scene 😂😂

He’s a real one in this show. When he found out that Ye-sol was not his biological daughter. He still continued to raise her. He divorced his wife after finding out her dark secret, beat the shit out of her lover, and gained custody of his daughter. Do-yeong is the ultimate step dad

He was the only dad holding his child's bag in 0:40 ❤ Best dad for Ye Sol

the scene where she ran to him and cried in his arms omg my heart couldn’t take it😭😭 at this moment he was literally ALL she had💔💔

3:04 “my princess, what are you doing?” UGGGGHHHHHH MY HEAAAARTTTT😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Isn’t it ironic? I’ve seen a lot of people, especially children of parents who have higher positions, who have a bond with their mothers more than the father. I noticed that Yeon-Jin seemed to just not be in the office a lot (idk how demanding a weather woman’s work is) but never went to Ye-sol’s school or at her soccer practice. She just appeared when she had to confront Dong-eun or to make connections with the other kids moms. But Do-Yeong, despite being the CEO of a massive company, always made sure to prioritise his child. And that very difference was the final thread that unravelled Yeon-Jin’s ‘perfect’ life. This is why Do-Yeong is my second fave character in this series.

Best dad ever, well-mannered, cool, badass, strong. He is a Dad with maiusc "D".
He didn't let grief, sense of betrayal and anger take him over and choose to be happy with his daughter.
I loved how he treated Jae Jun like the trash he was and went away with elegance.

I don’t care if he’s rich, I love that in this drama he loves his daughter no matter what.
