What happens when you ride a brand-new Aprilia RS 457 immediately after riding a 36,000 KM RS 457? I finally got the chance to find out!
In this video, I compare my long-term RS 457 with a brand-new RS 457, riding both back-to-back to see if there are any noticeable differences in performance, throttle response, refinement and overall riding feel.
The biggest thing I noticed was the initial pickup. My 36,000 KM RS 457 felt slightly less responsive off the line compared to the brand-new motorcycle. It wasn't a night-and-day difference, but riding both bikes back-to-back made the difference much easier to notice.
After owning and riding my RS 457 for 36,000+ KM, this comparison also made me think about how the motorcycle changes with long-term use and whether regular maintenance can bring back that new-bike feel.
