Uncle Buck Stands Up for his Niece Against the School Director (Full Scene) | Uncle Buck

Buck Russell (John Candy) delivers a blistering verbal dismantling of the cold-hearted Assistant Principal, Mrs. Hogarth (Eileen Heckart), proving that familial loyalty is a force far more potent than bureaucratic pedantry. It is a moment of profound righteousness where Buck’s sharp-witted defense of his niece, Tia Russell (Jean Louisa Kelly), serves as a masterclass in protective integrity.

Never has the world needed John Candy more than it does right now.

We all need an Uncle Buck. He was actually a better parent than the real parents.

Love the expression on that kids face sitting outside the assistant principals office, when he heard Uncle Buck putting her in her place, actually the kids "acting" looked so natural I wonder if it was acting at all.

Ahh the ‘80s, back when an unaccompanied grown man could walk into an elementary school and not be questioned.

If he lived, this would’ve been a great character he could’ve done multiple sequels for

4:41 "Take this quarter, go downtown and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face!". There is so many great scenes in this movie, but this one is my favorite quote.

He was literally the biggest teddy bear you wanna hug and be around, especially when he turns into a grizzly for his circle

I am so glad that I got to grow up watching John Candy while he was alive. He will always be one of my favorite actors of all time

I will forever be upset we never got a John Candy, Chris Farley movie. The two of them together on screen would’ve been magic.

I told my teen once that if she didn't do what she'd been asked to do that I was driving her to school in my pyjamas and fluffiest slippers and walking her to her first class.

I was committed to following through - and she knew it

Uncle Buck in defense of his niece could have defeated Darth Vader himself with just sheer Chutzpah and purity of heart.

Worked at a school a few years ago. Walked in to the teacher’s staff room and a few were complaining about the behaviour of one of my pupils. I said - you do realise his dad has just been imprisoned in Afghanistan and the Taliban have put a $10,000 price on his head for anyone who manages to kill him? ‘Thats no excuse’ was their reply.
