The death of Scott La Rock was one of the first violent deaths in hip hop memorialized in music and video. I watched the My Philosophy video and appreciate BDPs recognition of the brother that contributed to their success. May he rest in peace.
Homie, you're mess got him killed, plain an simple!, I remember the day, like it was yesterday!, that's why I never put folk's in my beef, I handle my own life, Like you should've chump!, Rest in Paradise Scott!!!
So, Scott La Rock got caught in a random beef that wasn't his whileonthewaytosquashabeef that wasn't his? Damn! I feel like I did the moment I first heard he got killed! Realizing what circumstances lead up to it, it's like some ancient holy story. He risked his life to uplift his people. Everyone involved, even the killers, would have benefited more by having Scott La Rock as an ally, rather than a dead "enemy". Human Crab Syndrome.
KRS 1 signed a bootleg copy of Criminal Minded for me in the Wild 100's Chicago around 2006, he was in a hood restaurant with the tour bus, a super fine lady on his side and he didn't have security guards. I still got the signed cd with no scratches.
