This game is written like one of those horrifying fairytale stories. Strawberry tricked Ronnie into undergoing hard labor she was meant to do while also being pelted with insults by the denizens of Magic Land, all the while Strawberry was also inside his mind like a parasite. Not only that but Strawberry framed Ronnie into making her look like the person who saved Magic Land, meanwhile all Ronnie got was an applause from 10 people in his school auditorium.

A brief overview of this game's plot: Cancelled Strawberry tricks Gullible Child into becoming his body double in order to fix his sullied reputation.

1:28 "Why are you making me wet" Such an incredible way to start the game

The editing on this does a real good job of pointing out all the random bullshit happening in the background that Vinny can’t always point out

I think what stand out to me most as "unnerving" in this game is the juxtaposition between the fake, plastic smiles of the townspeople, and then there's the contrast of the distrust and foreboding atmosphere where all the townspeople have bad experiences with Strawberry.
The art direction is telling you this is Baby Gaem, but he dialogue is hitting "Façade" tones.

I feel it's unusual (or at least would be by today's standards) for a children's game to let one of it's lead characters be actively malicious.
That, or the writers hit an uncanny valley of characterization where Strawberry is intended to be seen as a  mischievous prankster, but instead comes off as an amoral psychopath who operates chaotically for kicks and giggles.

I think I developed a strawberry allergy whilst editing this 😵‍💫

"I must go to the whimsical land of magic to become a magician!"
* Immediately becomes the 'volunteer' warden of a prison. *

"Thanks you, Strawberry Magic"
"Strawberry Magic?"
"Because um you are a Strawberry from Magic Land"
"oh yeah "

It's like having the angel and demon over your shoulder but there's no angel, just the strawberry devil

"Strawberry, I am warning you. If you don't stop ringing my bell and running away, I will punch you."

4:33 "basketheads" really does sound like some forgotten early 20th century slur 💀

i completely thought this game was a weird parody of old point and click adventure games that was made recently until i saw the entire thing and read the description showing that no, this was an actual game from the 90s

Strawberry Magic crawled so Space Kids could doodle dip

"I'm really happy that you've changed."

There isn't a game that better recreates a melatonin dream than this one

Berry bros we're so back

this game has some of the most insane dialogue for a kids game
the kind that makes you go "well...i guess you could phrase it like that"

This game feels like a fever dream you’d have as a kid after your parents told you they’re having a divorce.
