I put a $150 Crawler Motor in a $40 RC Truck! Brushless Hobbywing Fusion Vs WPL B16

I took a 2 in 1 Brushless Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 1800Kv Crawler Motor, and put it in a WPL B16. How did it do? Only running the 4 rear wheels, so a 6x4 RC Truck, it's not going to be much of a crawler, but hopefully with a bit more work it will be an awesome WPL Trail Truck!

I love these projects! It's definitely not a fail, it's the first part of a win!

Fantastic idea! I thought it worked pretty well. It Will be super efficient with less gears in the system

I wouldn't have minded seeing a speed run if the pinion angles weren't quite so janky. I reckon it still needs at least some gear reduction for crawling though, amazing motor or not. Thanks for doing the experiment, I enjoyed immensely!

I´m glad you´ve decided not to just give up on this idea. I think it´s fascinating, and I sort f want it to work as a vindication of WPL´s design ethos.
If anyone can do it, Phil, you can : )

Interesting project. Should be interesting to see how this goes. If you do make it 6 wheel drive, you should go the extra step and make it 6 wheel steer as well, lol. That would be something to see.

Love the idea, 100% not a fail though, the concept definitely works but needs a bit of refinement. I love the reviews but it's nice to see something a bit different every now and again.
